# Certificates

> Configure and review course certificate requirements.

## Purpose

Use certificates to provide learner evidence after they meet the course completion requirements.

## Configure a certificate

1. Open the course.
2. Select **Certificates**.
3. Enable certificate issuance.
4. Set the certificate title and validity period when required.
5. Set the completion and assessment requirements.
6. Save the certificate configuration.

## Result

Eligible learners receive a certificate after they complete the configured course requirements.

## Review issued certificates

Use the issued certificate list to review certificates created for the course.
