# Create a course

> Create a draft course in your organization workspace.

## Purpose

Create a draft course before you add curriculum, pricing, and publication settings.

## Prerequisites

* You are an organization administrator or learning administrator.
* You opened the correct workspace.

## Procedure

1. Open **Workspace**.
2. Select **Courses**.
3. Select **Create course**.
4. Enter a course title.
5. Enter a course summary.
6. Select the course language.
7. Select **Create course**.

## Result

ScaleApp Education creates a draft course and opens the course editor.

Add course details and curriculum before you publish the course.
