# Curriculum and lessons

> Build course chapters, lessons, and learning content.

## Purpose

Use the curriculum to organize the sequence of learner activities.

## Add a chapter

1. Open the course.
2. Select **Curriculum**.
3. Select **Add chapter**.
4. Enter the chapter title and summary.
5. Save the chapter.

## Add a lesson

1. Open the target chapter.
2. Select **Add lesson**.
3. Enter the lesson title and summary.
4. Add rich text, media, resources, or embeds as required.
5. Save the lesson.

## Change the sequence

Use the course curriculum controls to move chapters and lessons into the required learner order.

## Result

The course curriculum shows the ordered chapters and lessons that learners receive after publication.
