# Duplicate a course

> Create a draft copy of an existing course and its content.

## Purpose

Duplicate a course when you need a separate course that starts with existing content.

## Procedure

1. Open **Workspace**.
2. Select **Courses**.
3. Find the source course.
4. Open the course action menu.
5. Select **Duplicate course**.
6. Wait for ScaleApp Education to create the draft copy.

## Result

ScaleApp Education creates a new draft course and opens it in the course editor.

  The new course is independent of the source course. Changes to one course do not change the other course.
