# Enrollment settings

> Set how learners receive access to a course.

## Purpose

Use enrollment settings to control administrator assignment and public self-enrollment.

## Procedure

1. Open the course.
2. Select **Enrollment**.
3. Select the required enrollment policy.
4. Save the course.

## Enrollment policies

* **Administrator only**: An administrator assigns or imports learners.
* **Public self-enrollment**: Eligible users can enroll through the public course page.

## Result

ScaleApp Education uses the selected policy when it evaluates learner access to the course.
