# Roles and access

> Learn the main ScaleApp Education roles and their responsibilities.

Your role controls the workspaces, courses, learners, and platform controls that you can access.

## Workspace roles

### Organization administrator

An organization administrator can configure workspace settings, manage people, manage organization structure, and administer courses.

### Learning administrator

A learning administrator can create, update, publish, and assign courses.

### Manager

A manager can work with the teams assigned to their role. Managers can review learning that is available to those teams.

### Instructor

An instructor can deliver learning that is assigned to them.

### Learner

A learner can access assigned or self-enrolled learning. Learners can view their progress and certificates.

## If you cannot access a page

1. Confirm that you signed in with the correct account.
2. Confirm that you opened the correct workspace.
3. Ask an organization administrator or platform administrator to review your role.
