# Add learners

> Add individual learners to your organization workspace.

## Purpose

Add a learner when you need to assign courses or track learning records for one person.

## Prerequisites

* You are an organization administrator or learning administrator.
* The learner has a valid email address.

## Procedure

1. Open **Workspace**.
2. Select **Students** or **Enrollments**.
3. Select **Add learner**.
4. Enter the learner name and email address.
5. Select the courses that the learner must receive.
6. Confirm the learner record.

## Result

ScaleApp Education creates or updates the learner membership and creates the selected enrollments.

  Use the learner's business email address. Do not add a shared mailbox as a learner.
