# Billing and payments

> Resolve common billing account, offer, checkout, and payment problems.

## You cannot create a paid offer

Confirm that the organization has an active billing account. Contact a platform administrator if the billing account is missing.

## Checkout does not start

1. Confirm that the course offer is active.
2. Confirm that the offer is available now.
3. Confirm that the course uses public self-enrollment.
4. Try the checkout again with a new browser session.

## A payment is still confirming

Wait briefly and refresh the course or **Learning** page. Payment confirmation depends on the payment provider response.

## A coupon does not apply

Confirm that the code is active, applies to the selected course, and is within its valid date range.
