# Organization structure

> Create divisions, departments, and teams for workspace administration.

## Purpose

Use organization structure to group learners and control team availability for courses.

## Create a unit

1. Open **Workspace**.
2. Select **Organization structure**.
3. Select the unit type: division, department, or team.
4. Select **Add unit**.
5. Enter the unit name.
6. Select the parent unit when required.
7. Save the unit.

## Result

The unit is available for member assignments and course availability controls.

## Use teams with courses

After you create a team, you can limit a course to that team in the course availability settings.
