# People and roles

> Invite people and assign the workspace access that they need.

## Purpose

Use **People** to invite organization members and review existing workspace access.

## Invite a person

1. Open **Workspace**.
2. Select **People**.
3. Select **Invite person**.
4. Enter the person email address.
5. Select the required role.
6. Send the invitation.

## Result

ScaleApp Education sends an invitation to the person. The person receives workspace access after they accept the invitation.

## Choose the minimum role

* Use **Organization administrator** for workspace administration.
* Use **Learning administrator** for course administration.
* Use **Manager** for team-scoped learning work.
* Use **Instructor** for assigned course delivery.
* Use **Learner** for learning access.

  Do not assign an administrator role when a learner or instructor role is sufficient.
